After the Super Galaxy had its front landing gear raised and the aircraft assumed its distinctive kneeling position in preparation for loading soon after it arrived, on Monday morning, the mighty aircraft's nose was raised and the loading ramp deployed. Soon after, the Navy SEAL's Shadowy Multi-Mission Stealth Speedboats was loaded onto the Super Galaxy - including the truck and trailer!
Several freight pallets and containers were also loaded onto the Super Galaxy and the nose lowered in preparation for its departure.
After a short delay due to a sticky steering pin, 87-0030 was then cleared to Hickam Air Force Base (Hickam Field) in Hawaii and soon after, made a spectacular departure off Rocky's Runway 15 before setting course for the North-East.
It was again heard to be using the radio callsign of "Reach 468".
It is expected that this, or another USAF C-5 Galaxy will touch down again at Rockhampton Airport to transport the other US Navy Stealth Boat back to Hawaii.
