A Trio of Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopters Pass Through Rockhampton Airport Overnight - UPDATED!

In the wee small hours of Thursday 28 July, three Australian Army NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopters were noted passing through Rockhampton Airport while on a fight from Holsworthy Barracks near Sydney up to Townsville.

Fight tracking websites suggest they to be A40-047 as "Bushman 81", A40-007 as "Bushman 82" and A40-040 as "Bushman 84".

All three flew up Holsworthy via stops at Tamworth and Oakey before landing at Rockhampton Airport. They all then departed separately for Townsville.

UPDATE!  Very late on Thursday 28 July, a fourth MRH-90 helicopter, A40-043 as "Bushman 43" also called into Rockhampton Airport from Holsworthy, Tamworth and Oakey before then also departing to Townsville.

The "Bushman" callsign suggests the MRH-90 helicopters are flown by the Australian Army's 173rd Aviation Squadron. They provide support to the Army’s Special Operations Command. The Squadron is based at Luscombe Airfield, Holsworthy Barracks, Sydney and forms part of the 6th Aviation Regiment.

UPDATE!  On Monday 1 August, all four MRH-90s looked to return South from Townsville, again via Rockhampton Airport, heading back to Holsworthy.

Nice one!
