New Zealand Registered Piper PA-24-250 Comanche ZK-BAZ Calls into Charters Towers Aerodrome - Plus More!

On Saturday 16 July, New Zealand-registered Piper PA-24-250 Comanche ZK-BAZ was noted departing Charters Towers Aerodrome for Toowoomba.  The well-known and well-travelled Comanche has been touring through the Channel Country of Queensland and looked to arrive into Charters Towers Aerodrome from Winton and Hughenden in the days previous.

ZK-BAZ arrived into Australia from New Zealand at the end of June and has been out as far as Alice Springs before then flying into Winton around a week-and-a-half ago.

Of interest, it appears that Victoria-based Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche VH-TSJ looked to fly with ZK-BAZ as it also flew from Charters Towers Aerodrome to Toowoomba.  It also recently flew to Alice Springs and research reveals that was a 'Comanche Corroboree' held there.

Meanwhile, also on Saturday 16 July, Chartair (Northern Territory) Beech 58 Baron VH-KEW flew from Redcliffe and Toowoomba (Wellcamp) to Longreach, Winton and Cloncurry Airports.

UPDATE!  On Monday 18 July, VH-KEW returned to Longreach Airport before then returning down to Wellcamp and Redclifee.

While Brisbane-based Piper PA-34-220T Seneca III VH-YSA and Piper PA-31-350 VH-RPV both departed Longreach Airport around the same time for Toowoomba and Archerfield.  They look to have arrived from those places the previous day.
