Jetstar Airways Airbus A320-200 VH-XNW (ex 9V-JSV) First Visit to CQ at Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport

On Friday 8 July, Jetstar Airways Airbus A320-200 VH-XNW was noted completing its first ever visit to Central Queensland, operating into Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport from and back to Sydney as JST840/1.

Much to my surprise, VH-XNW is one of two (more) recently delivered A320s that were previously operated by Jetstar Asia Airways (Singapore).   VH-XNW was previously registered as 9V-JSV.  It was delivered to Australia via Adelaide in mid-June - as pictured above.  It then ferried across to Melbourne (Tullamarine) and entered service from there with Jetstar Australia at the end of June.

The other recently delivered A320 has been registered as VH-XNP and is ex 9V-JSU.  It was delivered to Australia via Melbourne (Tullamarine) as 9V-JSU two days prior to the delivery of VH-XNW but still is yet to enter service.

These additional two A320s come after three former Jetstar Asia Airways A320s were delivered to Jetstar Australia at the start of the year - VH-XNI (ex 9V-JSN), VH-XNJ (ex 9V-JSP) and VH-XNN (ex 9V-JSM).

These former Jetstar Asia A320s complement the six former Jetstar Japan A320s that have also entered service here in Australia over the last year or so.
