A Few More Bizjets at Hamilton Island Airport

As the new year has started, there has been a few more locally-based bizjets to call into Hamilton Island over the last few days.  As we mentioned in out post below, Aeromil Pacific / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 650 Citation III VH-SPJ called into Hamo on Tuesday 31 December from Sydney. On Wednesday 1 January, VH-SPJ departed back to Sydney.

Business Aviation Solutions Cessna 650 Citation VII VH-LYM also popped into Hamilton Island on Tuesday 31 December. It arrived from the Sunshine Coast after starting the day in Armidale and calling into Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast.  Soon after departed to Mackay where it spent a few days parked up. On Friday 3 January, VH-LYM returned to Hamilton Island from Mackay and it later departed to Coffs Harbour and later Armidale.

At the time of writing VH-LYM was again expected to call into Hamilton Island, this time direct from Armidale.

Sundyne Cessna 650 Citation VII VH-SSZ popped into Hamilton Island on Saturday 4 January from Sydney. It had started the day in Cairns and flew CNS-SYD-OOL-SYD-HTI. From Hamo it departed back to the Sunshine Coast before returning to Sydney where it finished the day.

Gold Coast-based Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign VH-VPL also called into Hamo on Saturday 4 January, arriving from Brisbane. VH-VPL also started the day in Cairns and flew CNS-BNE-HTI. VH-VPL eventually departed Hamo, returning to Cairns, where it was expected to depart to Brisbane today (at the time of writing).

Finally, it's also worth mentioning that on Wednesday 1 January, Professional Jet Aviation Cessna 525 Citation CJ1 VH-CDG called into Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast Airport from the Gold Coast, while Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 VH-VVI called into Rockhampton also from the Gold Coast.  Both bizjets departed back to Brisbane.
