Friday 25 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-005 was noted and spotted as it completed airwork including missed approaches at both Emerald and Hamilton Island Airports.

The Wedgetail looked to depart RAAF Base Williamtown and fly up to Emerald Airport where it was videoed below completing a missed approach.
A30-005 then flew towards the Whitsundays and looked to complete airwork including a couple of missed approaches at Hamilton Island Airport.
It then returned to Williamtown.
Of interest, A30-005 was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Wedgetail 12".
