Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) B737 / E-7A Wedgetail A30-004 Spotted Completing Airwork at Emerald Airport

On Monday 28 June, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft A30-004 was spotted completing airwork including at least two missed approaches at Emerald Airport.


It appears that the Wedgetail flew up from RAAF Base Williamtown to the Sunshine Coast where it also completed at least one missed approach.  A30-004 then flew across to Emerald Airport where it was spotted and videoed above and below completing airwork including at least two missed approaches.



The Wedgetail then returned to Williamtown.

A30-004 was heard using the radio callsign of "Wedgetail 01".
