Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-UQF Returns to Emerald Airport After In-Flight Engine Shutdown

On Friday 8 February, Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-UQF was heard to depart Emerald Airport on the scheduled VOZ1264 service to Brisbane on behalf of Virgin Australia.  However, the F-100 soon developed a problem and was reportedly was forced to shut down an engine in-flight and return to Emerald Airport.

After circling, VH-UQF VOZ1264 looked to land without incident.

Meanwhile, later on Friday 8 February, fellow Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-JFE flew into Emerald Airport from Brisbane as VOZ9903 presumably to take affected passengers to Brisbane.  It is due to depart as the now delayed VOZ1264.

VH-UQF is due to later still depart Emerald Airport for Brisbane on a positioning flight as UTY991.
