Alliance Fokker 100 Charter and RAAF Challenger Bizjet at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport This Week

An interesting arrival into the Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport on Thursday 31 July was Alliance Airlines Fokker F-100 VH-FWH, which touched down from Brisbane before dawn as UTY551.  VH-FWH then departed to Sydney also as UTY551.

Later that evening, VH-FWH then returned to Hervey Bay from Sydney as UTY552.  It then returned to Brisbane, again as UTY552.  This was presumably a closed charter flight.

Meanwhile, it is believed that Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-001 also touched down at Hervey Bay but on Friday 1 August.  It was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Ausy 327".

I believe that A37-001 departed early on Saturday 2 August to parts unknown.
