Another General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) Dornier 228 VH-VJD at Maryborough Airport Tuesday

Captured by Brisbane-based plane spotter Dave D departing Maryborough Airport on Tuesday 5 August was General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) Dornier DO 228-202 VH-VJD. It called in briefly from Brisbane.  After a short turn-around, it departed back to Brisbane.

I noted that VH-VJD had a busy day, also operating 2 return flights from Brisbane to Chinchilla, where it and it's sister-ship VH-VJN operated a total of 6 return flights from Brisbane on Tuesday 5 August.  Chinchilla - best known as the 'Melon Capital of Australia' - is one of many regional Queensland towns benefiting from nearby Coal and Gas explorations and hence has several Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flights touch down during the week operated by GAM Dorniers VH-VJD, VH-VJN and VH-VJE.

Also of note at Chinchilla Airport on Tuesday 5 August was TWC Logistics Hawker Beechcraft 390 Premier 1 bizjet VH-TGQ which flew into Chinchilla from Archerfield and later departed to Toowoomba.
