General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) Dornier DO 228-202 VH-VJN at Maryborough Airport

Brisbane-based plane spotter Dave D has again spotted a General Aviation Maintenance (GAM) Dornier DO 228-202 visiting Maryborough Airport, with VH-VJN spotted departing for Brisbane on Wednesday 20 August.  It had reportedly completed some airwork at the field, including missed approaches along with numerous take-offs and landings.

It had earlier flown up from Brisbane.

Meanwhile, another GAM aircraft is becoming a familiar sight around Maryborough and other Fraser Coast Airports.  AeroCommander 500-S VH-MEH has been operating freight flights into the region most days of most weeks recently.  It usually departs Brisbane before dawn, landing first at Maryborough, and then heading to Bundaberg and Gayndah where it spends the day.  In the evening, it departs Gayndah and retraces its steps to Bundaberg and Maryborough before continuing to Brisbane.

Sincere thanks to Dave for allowing us to share his photos of VH-VJN!
