Both Careflight LearJet 45 Med-evac Bizjets VH-CXJ & VH-VVI Called into Longreach Airport Last Week

As we reported below, Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 VH-CXJ called into Longreach Airport last Thursday 21 August.  It arrived from Brisbane and departed to Rockhampton where it was captured by local plane spotter 'IAD' during 'Terrific Thursday'.

It later departed back to Brisbane, and was heard to be using the radio callsign of "Ambulance 452".

Then on Friday 22 August, fellow Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 VH-VVI also called into Longreach Airport, touching down from Cairns.

It later departed to Brisbane, and was heard to use the radio callsign of "Ambulance 451".

The two Careflight med-evac bizjets were a highlight of a week where the usual commercial traffic, along with some interesting light aircraft also called into the outback town, including Pilatus Australia's own PC-12/47E VH-WBI which called in from Melbourne (Essendon) on Thursday 21 August.  It departed back there on Friday 22 August.

Also on Friday 22 August, recently registered Hawker Beechcraft G58 VH-PZA called in while on a flight which has seen it spotted in the Norther Territory.  A slightly older Beech A36 VH-MMY was noted flying a similar route with VH-PZA.

Finally, on Saturday 23 August, Cessna 441 VH-OPM called in from its Warrnambool base in Victoria, eventually departing further North to Cooktown.
