Just when local plane spotter 'IAD' thought that his day of plane spotting couldn't get any better, a lovely pair of bizjets called into Rockhampton Airport during the late afternoon on Thursday 21 August.
First to call in was Careflight Queensland (Aeromed) LearJet 45 VH-CXJ which arrived from Longreach. It had earlier flown up from Brisbane.
It parked on the Southern end of the Rockhampton Airport apron.
After over two hours on the ground, VH-CXJ departed Rocky for Brisbane.
Also touching down at Rockhampton Airport on Thursday 21 August was the familiar sight of the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY.
After spending much of the day in Bundaberg, VH-SGY touched down at Rocky mid-afternoon, unloading Queensland Premier Campbell Newman.
VH-SGY stayed overnight at Rocky, and at the time of writing, was due to be joined by fellow Queensland Government aircraft, Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-SGQ.
Hopefully the start of another exciting day of plane spotting action at the beef capital!
Sincere thanks to 'IAD' for sending through these really great photos of simply terrific day of plane spotting!
