Bundaberg-based plane spotter Micah S ventured to Maryborough on Friday 15 August for business, but found time to call into Maryborough Airport - a place he has not visited on previous occasions. While he was there he captured some great photos of the visiting Queensland Police Service (Airwing) Raytheon B1900D VH-PSK which had called in during a very busy days flying.
Research reveals that VH-PSK started and finished its day in Cairns, flying via Townsville (twice), Mackay, Rockhampton, Maryborough and Brisbane.
As mentioned below, the Queensland Police Cessna 560 Citation Ultra bizjet VH-PSU also called into Maryborough during the week touching down on Wednesday 13 August.
Meanwhile, another interesting visitor to Maryborough this week was Shadforth's Plant Hire Raytheon (Beech) C90A (C90B King Air) VH-JEO which called in at least three times over the course of Thursday 14 August and Friday 15 August.
Finally, Micah also sends through a photo from Maryborough of a tired old Embraer EMB-110P2 Bandeirante - registered VH-OZF. The 'Bandit' has been a long-time resident of Maryborough and at one stage shared the apron with at least one other of the little Embraer turbo-props.
Currently VH-OZF is registered to Aerolink Air Services in New South Wales, however research reveals that prior to landing in Maryborough in the late 2000's, VH-OZF was used for skydiving in - of all places - Guam. Prior to that, there are photos of (a) VH-OZF operating for Aus-Air.
Sincere thanks to Micah for sending through these great photos from Maryborough!
