A Couple of Interesting Visitors to the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour - King Air VH-WJW and West Wing Caravan VH-XDU

Over the last week or so I've noticed that there's been a couple of interesting visitors to the Whitsunday Airport (WAVE) at Shute Harbour / Airlie Beach.  Perhaps the most unusual visitor was West Wing Aviation Cessna 208 Caravan VH-XDU which visited last Tuesday 19 August and again on Wednesday 20 August.

Both times the caravan operated from and back to Townsville.

Also on Wednesday 20 August, Wagners Development Company Hawker Beechcraft B300 Super King Air VH-WJW called into the Whitsunday Airport.  It arrived from and later departed back to its Toowoomba base.

Meanwhile, the Wagner Family's own $100 million-plus Wellcamp Business Park and Airport on Toowoomba's western outskirts has reportedly recently had its first aircraft to land on its newly constructed Runway.

Back at the Whitsunday Airport, Cairns-based Developing Aviation Mooney M20J VH-CVB called in on Thursday 21 August and stayed the night.

And finally, locally-based Whitsundays Scenic Flight & Charter Company GSL Aviation has recently opened an office in Cairns, and now offers scenic flights out of Cairns Airport.  Their aircraft are always being kept busy, as evidenced by Piper PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftan VH-KFU which has had a busy couple of weeks with charter flights between Mackay and Hughenden.
