First to depart was the Alliance Airlines Fokker 50 VH-FKY which arrived late on Sunday 10 August, operating as UTY650, on a Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter flight from Brisbane.
VH-FKY departed back to Brisbane as UTY651.
Making another visit to Gladstone Airport on Monday 11 August was Earth Commodities Cessna 550 Citation Bravo bizjet VH-CCJ which Anthony captured touching down from Brisbane.
After a quick turnaround, VH-CCJ departed to Mackay.
At the time of writing, VH-CCJ had since returned to Gladstone from Mackay, and looked to be staying at Gladstone for the night before departing to Bundaberg during the morning of Tuesday 12 August.
One of the more notable General Aviation (GA) movements into Gladstone Airport on Monday 11 August was Brescon Beech B200 VH-WXN, which arrived Toowoomba.
After being parked for most of the day, VH-WXN departed back to Toowoomba.
Also arriving from Toowoomba was a regular visitor in the form of Cirrus SR22 VH-VIA. The little Cirrus had a busy day of flying with it departing Gladstone for Mackay and later Moranbah where it will stay the night. It appears that VH-VIA will fly to Emerald and home to Toowoomba on Tuesday 12 August.
Brisbane-based Bishopp Aviation Mooney M20K VH-YRJ also called in, flying from and back to Archerfield.
Finally on the GA scene, locally-based Aerotor Cessna 210 VH-EFP departed Gladstone for parts unknown.
A couple of commercial visitors captured by Anthony on Monday 11 August included Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-600 VH-FVY, which is shown departing to Brisbane as VOZ1710.
And QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOX was photographed arriving and later departing as QLK2300 - the 'milk run' flight from Brisbane to Cairns via Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay and Townsville.
Certainly some great photos from a great morning of plane spotting at Gladstone Airport. Sincere thanks to Anthony for allowing us to share his great images from this morning!
