Australian Army Boeing CH-47D Chinook helicopter A15-104 was spotted performing a touch-and-go on Runway 14 at Hamilton Island Airport on Monday 4 August.
Flying as "Brahman 104", the 'chook' came in for its touch-and-go from Townsville, and afterwards, it returned back there.
It was certainly a thrill for the tourists and the like to see the big transport helicopter call into Hamo!
Meanwhile, an interesting corporate turbo-prop to also to call in to Hamilton Island Airport on Monday 4 August was SOCATA TBM-850 (700N) VH-TBM which is owned by Starmind Investments in West Australia. VH-TBM arrived from Melbourne (Essendon) Airport.
Lastly, Gold Coast-based Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign bizjet VH-VPL finally departed Hamo on Sunday 3 August for Brisbane and later the Gold Coast.
