Two RAAF Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetails A30-006 & A30-005 Complete Airwork at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport

On Friday 23 October, a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7ES / E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft were noted completing airwork at Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport during two separate visits.

During the morning, Wedgetail A30-006 as "Wedgetail 24" flew up from RAAF Base Williamtown to Hervey Bay Airport where it completed three missed approaches.  A30-006 then returned South to Williamtown via more airwork RAAF Base Richmond.

Then during the afternoon, A30-005 as "Wedgetail 25" also flew up from Williamtown to RAAF Base Amberley and then Hervey Bay Airport where it too completed a missed approach.  A30-005 then returned to Williamtown via more airwork at Coffs Harbour.
