Seair Pacific / Istelcote De Havilland DHC-6-100 Twin Otter VH-BVS Calls iinto Rockhampton Airport on the Weekly FIFO Run North - Plus More!

On Wednesday 7 October, Seair Pacific / Istelcote De Havilland DHC-6-100 Twin Otter VH-BVS was noted visiting Rockhampton Airport. It was operating the weekly Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) closed charter flight from the Gold Coast and Brisbane to Rocky then up to Collinsville Aerodrome and Townsville.

VH-BVS later returned South over the same route.

Both Seair Twin Otters - VH-BVS and VH-ZKF - have been noted continuing to opreate this flight since it started in April this year.

Meanwhile, also early on Wednesday 7 October, fellow Seair Pacific / Istlecote Cessna 208 Caravan VH-LYT was noted also arriving into Rockhampton Airport but from Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport.

UPDATE!  Early on Thursday 8 October, VH-LYT departed Rockhampton Airport for Middlemount Aerodrome.  It then returned to Hervey Bay (Fraser Coast) Airport via Maryborough Airport.

And fellow Seair Pacific / Istlecote Textron Aviation (Cessna) 208B Caravan VH-TLH flew across from Longreach Airport to Gladstone Airport before continuing to Lady Elliot Island Airport.  It looks to be operating a closed tourist charter having flown from the Gold Coast to Charleville and Birdsville Airports over the last couple of days.

Also on Wednesday 7 October, Brisbane-based Piper PA-31 Navajo VH-DEQ flew up to the Labona Station Airstrip within Adani Australia's Carmichael Coal Mine site from Archerfield.  It then returned back to Archerfield but via Emerald Airport. 

And Brescon (Toowoomba) Beech B200 King Air VH-WXN also flew into Labona but from Toowoomba-Wellcamp and Archerfield.

At the time of writing, VH-WXN is due to return South on Thursday 8 October.

While Townsville Airlines Beech 1900D VH-RUE popped into Rockhampton Airport from Cairns and Townsville before then departing to Toowoomba-Wellcamp and then heading back to Cairns. 

Finally, also on Wednesday 7 October, Edwards Coaches Cessna 441 VH-TAZ flew into Mackay Airport from its Armidale base and the Gold Coast.  It later returned direct ot Armidale.
