On Monday 8 July, there were some unexpected but most welcome Alliance Airlines charter flights into both Gladstone and Emerald Airports.
At Gladstone Airport, Alliance Fokker F-100 VH-XWQ was spotted by local plane spotter Michael F resting in the cool evening air after earlier arriving into the port city from Brisbane as UTY664.
After staying overnight, VH-XWQ was expected to return to Brisbane early on Tuesday 9 July as UTY663.
Meanwhile out at Emerald Airport, Alliance Fokker F-70s VH-QQX and VH-JFB were noted arriving and departing on various charter flights, with VH-JFB remaining overnight and departing back to Brisbane early on Tuesday 9 July.
Also Fokker F-50 VH-FKY popped into Emerald from Barcaldine on a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) charter flight, before later departing back to Brisbane.
