The Callide Dawson Flying Group - a passionate group of flyers and enthusiasts - with the well known objective of promoting recreational flying in many categories in the Callide Dawson Valley area - are hosting their annual fly-in this coming weekend at 'Rockybar'.
A full program of events are being planned for both Saturday 13 July and Sunday 14 July at ‘Rockybar’, which is on Rockybar Rd, near Eidsvold in Central Queensland.
The exact location of 'Rockybar' is between Eidsvold and Cracow (Location: S 25* 27.4 E 150* 27.7).
It is a private aircraft landing area (ALA) with a 1km grass strip (running North from the house) and taxiway.
Airstrip runs north from the house. Fly-in participants are encouraged to arrive and enjoy smoko around 10am on the Saturday. After a fibre-glassing presentation and lunch, there will be a trip to inspect nearby gas lines and aboriginal artworks.
On the Sunday, a traditional pilots breakfast will be followed by morning tea at Cracow Station, before participants head home.
It certainly looks like a fun weekend in-store!
