Also Spotted at Gladstone Airport on Sunday

Local plane spotters Jamie C, Tash C and Michael F had an absolutely fantastic days plane spotting at Gladstone Airport on Sunday 7 July, with Virgin Australia Boeing B737-800 VH-YIT the highlight.

VH-YIT called into Gladstone Airport twice during the afternoon - see Blog Post below.

But also during the day on Sunday 7 July, there were also some other interesting movements captured by Jamie, Tash and Michael.

QantasLink Dash-8-Q300 VH-TQM was captured as it called into Gladstone.

Surveillance Australia / Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (Cobham Aviation) Reims F406 VH-YZG was also spotted passing through Gladstone Airport.  It departed for operations out to sea, and was later noted parked on the Airport apron where it appeared to be staying for the night.

Also spotted returning South from Hamilton Island and then continuing onto its Southport base was the Corporate Aviation Bell 429 Helicopter VH-EQP which called into Gladstone for fuel.

Old Station (at Raglan) based Cessna 150 VH-RWM was photographed departing Gladstone after it had brought in Gladstone Aero Club members to attend their weekly gathering at the Airport.

Also locally-based Ultralight aircraft operated by Gladstone Flying Training and Air Charter - Jabiru J-230 24-7384 - Evektor Sportstar 24-4467 - Jabiru J-170 24-5229.

Lastly, as they waited for the visiting B737-800, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines ATR 72-600 aircraft VH-FVP and VH-FVY popped in and out of Gladstone Airport.

QantasLink Dash-8-Q400 VH-QOE was also spotted arriving and departing during the afternoon.

Our sincere thanks to Jamie, Tash and Michael for sending through their fantastic photos of a fantastic days plane spotting at Gladstone Airport.
