And a Couple of Other Surprises at Gladstone Airport on Thursday

Loyal followers of the CQ Plane Spotting Blog have noted that reports from Gladstone Airport have decreased in recent days with the commencement of Military Exercise Talisman Saber 2013 up the road at Rockhampton seeing local spotters venturing up there to soak up some of the action.  However on Thursday 18 July, some action came to Gladstone Airport in the form of three interesting visitors including Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-002.

As posted below, A37-002 arrived and departed as "Ausy 308".

A little later, Australian Army Commonwealth CA-32 (Bell 206B/OH-58A) Kiowa helicopter A17-039 called into Gladstone Airport for fuel.

Meanwhile, much earlier in the morning, Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-JFB made another appearance at Gladstone Airport, this time operating a return flight from and back to Brisbane as UTY662/663.

It was VH-JFB's second visit in as many days, having flown into the port city late the previous day enroute from Brisbane to Barcaldine.

Thanks to local spotters Jamie C and Tash C for sending through their great photos during a busy day!
