Spectacular Departure of Our Airline / Air Nauru Boeing B737-300 VH-PNI from a Rain Soaked Gladstone Airport Sunday

Local plane spotters Jamie and Tash braved the elements to capture some spectacular photos as as Our Airline / Air Nauru Boeing B737-300 VH-PNI departed Gladstone Airport early on Sunday 13 April.

VH-PNI departed to Brisbane as RON915.  It had arrived into the industrial city on its regular 9-day Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) run on Friday night, remaining parked on the Gladstone Airport apron all day Saturday.

As the photos above show, Gladstone was feeling the effects of Tropical Cyclone Ita which is now heading South along with the Central Queensland coast.  The CQ Plane Spotting Blog hopes that everyone affected by the cyclone stay safe and check the regular updates on the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) website - LINK.
