Many Photos as Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 Completes Airwork at CQ Airports

On Monday 1 April, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-207 "Stallion 30" had a busy morning departing RAAF Base Amberley for Townsville but via airwork and missed approaches at various Central Queensland Airports, and a brief stop on the ground at Rockhampton Airport.

From Amberley, it appears that the C-17 ventured to the North-West where it was photographed at a distance completing a missed approach at Charleville Airport.

It then ventured up to Rockhampton Airport where it was photographed completing an overfly of the Airport before it landed and taxied in to Gate 6 on the Southern end of the parking apron.

After a short time on the ground, A41-207 then departed Rockhampton Airport and continued to the North.

The Globemaster then completed airwork at Mackay Airport including a missed approach.  I was able to capture a quick photo as it climbed out - in the rain!

From Mackay, A41-207 "Stallion 30" then continued to Townsville where it appeared to land.

What a morning!

Sincere thanks to all the local plane spotters for their help with contributions of information and photos of the might C-17 as it ventured up through Central Queensland!
