Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-NKQ Brings Queensland Maroons Rugby League Team to Charleville Airport - Plus More!

A fantastic day in Charleville on Tuesday 28 May with the mighty Queensland Maroons Rugby League football team calling in for a very popular fan day.  The Maroons flew into Charleville Airport on board Alliance Airlines Fokker F-70 VH-NKQ which touched down from Brisbane early as UTY3360.

During the visit to Charleville, the mighty Maroons took part in a meet and greet followed by an open training session at the Charleville Showgrounds.

During the afternoon, VH-NKQ returned to Brisbane as UTY3361.

Meanwhile, also noted visiting Charleville Airport, also on Tuesday 28 May was Hevilift Australia (Fixed Wing Division) ATR 42-320 VH-YWH which presumably visited in support of the Maroons fan day. It arrived from and later departed back Brisbane as HT405/406.

While arriving into Charleville Airport on Monday 27 May and then noted also in support of Maroons visit was RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Bell 412EP VH-XCK which has been repainted into a striking maroon colour scheme.

Finally, on the lighter side of other movements, one notable General Aviation (GA) visitor to also be noted visiting Charleville Airport, also on Tuesday 28 May was Brisbane-based SOCATA TBM 700 VH-PGA.  The familiar SOCATA - formerly registered N700BK - was noted arriving from Archerfield and Moura Airports and later departing to Nappa Merrie.

A great day!
