The Federal Election Campaign Continues Locally with Challenger 604 Bizjets VH-SCR and RAAF A37-001 Spotted at CQ Airports

On Tuesday 7 May, the Federal election campaign continued in most parts of Central Queensland and the two visiting Challenger 604 bizjets were again spotted in the region at Mackay and Rockhampton Airports.

During the morning, Australian Corporate Jet Centres Bombardier CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet VH-SCR departed Mackay Airport for Rockhampton Airport again as "Regent 51".

Again, as predicted, VH-SCR brought to town the Federal National Party Leader and Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack for a series of engagements. These complete in the beef capital, and after spending some time on the ground, VH-SCR was noted departing Rockhampton Airport for HMAS Albatross at Nowra in New South Wales.

Meanwhile, after arriving into Rockhampton Airport early last evening - see Blog post below - Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Canadair CL-600-2B16 Challenger 604 bizjet A37-001 was noted departing to Parkes in New South Wales again as "Regent 23".

It appears that A37-001 "Regent 23" has since flown back up to Brisbane.

Sincere thanks to the local plane spotters for sending through these great photos of a couple of great repeat visitors to CQ!
