The three Chinooks were identified as A15-302, A15-309 and A15-310, and arrived in a pair as "Chainsaw" and a single as "Braham 351".
Then, on Friday 22 October, Chinook A15-309 as "Brahman 369" flew from the DSG to the North Rockhampton High School where it completed a community engagement activity.
While Chinook A15-310 as "Stockman 362" departed the DSG and flew straight down to Bundaberg Airport, via some airwork along the nearby coastline.
During the middle part of the afternoon, A15-309 "Brahman 369" returned to the DSG from the School to pick up a couple of passengers before it too then departed to Bundaberg Airport, yet again as "Brahman 369".
Both Chinooks then made a spectacular late afternoon departure from Bundaberg Airport where they both returned to the DSG for the night.
The third Chinook, A15-302, wasn't noted flying on Friday.
No doubt there will be further movements over the weekend!
Sincere thanks to the local plane spotters for taking the time to capture and send through all these great photos!
