Flight One (Services) King Air VH-FON - Plus a Few Other Interesting Aircraft to Call into Emerald Airport

Late on Wednesday 15 October, Flight One (Services) - based at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane - Beech B200 King Air VH-FON, called into Emerald Airport from Mundubberra.

It had earlier flown from Archerfield into Saint George and then Mundubbera and it appears to be staying overnight with an early afternoon departure planned for Thursday 16 October.

Meanwhile, also on Wednesday 15 October, the weekly Alliance Airlines-operated Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) Charter flight from Brisbane was operated by Fokker F-70 VH-QQY.

On the lighter side of aircraft to visit Emerald Airport on Wednesday 15 October, Cessna U206F departed for Rockhampton.  It had arrived from the Sunshine Coast on Sunday 12 October after spending the weekend on Stradbroke Island.  Cirrus SR22T VH-OPG also departed Emerald for Mudgee and Mildura.  It arrived from Gladstone on Tuesday 14 October.

Finally, a couple of other interesting light movements in the form of Toowoomba-based Austrek Aviation Cessna 310R VH-DZX called into Emerald on Tuesday 14 October from Moree and earlier Toowoomba.  It appeared to depart for 'Natal Downs' and Townsville.  And Grumman American AA-5B Tiger VH-SZI called in from Rockhampton on Tuesday, later departing to Charters Towers.
