QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXD Back in CQ in New Colours!

Interesting to note that with QantasLink (Cobham Aviation) Boeing B717-200 VH-NXH having engineering issues on Sunday 12 October, and turning back to Brisbane about half way through operating as QJE1766 from Brisbane to Mackay, fellow B717-200 VH-NXD was seemingly rushed back into service after being re-painted into the new Qantas colour scheme in Townsville.

Late on Sunday 12 October, VH-NXD positioned from Townsville to Brisbane as QJE6200 before immediately operating as a somewhat delayed QJE1742/1743 scheduled service from Brisbane to Rockhampton and back.

I say 'rushed' back in service as I had received information that it was to be rolled out of the paintshop in Townsville on Monday 13 October.

On Monday 13 October, it appears that VH-NXD will have a full day of flying visiting all CQ cities - Mackay, Gladstone and Rockhampton.
