More Photos of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7DF(BBJ) A36-002 at Rockhampton Airport Saturday

Local plane spotter 'IAD' was on hand to capture some great photos of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing B737-7DF(BBJ) A36-002 as it (eventually) called into Rockhampton Airport on Saturday 18 October.

I say "eventually" as it performed a late go-around due to the strong winds blowing across Rockhampton Airport on Saturday afternoon.

A36-002 - flying as "Envoy 29" - came around again and this time made a smooth landing onto Runway 15 at Rockhampton.

It parked for a brief time on the Southern end of the Rockhampton Airport apron, before departing soon after for the Sunshine Coast.

As mentioned below, A36-002 was conducting a "training flight", heading North on Friday 17 October and overnighting in Townsville.  On Saturday 18 October, it continued further South back to its Canberra base.

Sincere thanks to 'IAD' for capturing these great photos and for taking the time to send them through!
