Toowoomba-based Cirrus SR22 VH-FJD Calls into Rockhampton Airport Saturday on Angel Flight Mission

Local plane spotter 'IAD' reports that Toowoomba-based Cirrus SR22, which he captured visiting Rockhampton Airport on Saturday 5 July, was operating an Angel Flight mission.

Angel Flight Australia is a charity that co-ordinates non-emergency flights for financially and medically needy people. All flights are free and assist patients or compassionate carers travelling to or from medical facilities anywhere in Australia.

Angel Flight is funded by private donation, relying entirely on donations from individuals, clubs and service clubs, companies large and small and deceased estates.  They do not employ any fund raising companies or pay for any advertising.  Donations are used to pay for the fuel used in the conduct of Angel flights and discounted commercial flights when poor weather prevents light aircraft from flying.  100% of money donated to Angel Flight goes directly into their operating costs.

For more information visit the Angel Flight website - http://www.angelflight.org.au/

All donations are gratefully accepted.

VH-FJD flew into Rockhampton from Toowoomba and after collecting a passenger, departed to Longreach.

It returned to Toowoomba later in the day.

Thanks to 'IAD' for the story and photos!
