A Few More Plane Spotting Photos from Rockhampton and Gladstone Airports This Week

A couple more interesting General Aviation (GA) movements at Rockhampton Airport this week with, on Friday 25 July, Austrek Aviation Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-JEA calling in from its Toowoomba base.

More Mooneys were also noted popping in and out of Rocky with M20TN VH-JEUand M20J VH-TRY noted in and out on Friday 25 July, while M20J VH-SGJ was due into Rocky on Saturday 26 July.

Meanwhile, local plane spotter Michael F ventured to Gladstone Airport late on Friday 25 July to find a very busy General Aviation (GA) apron - in fact it was so full that one aircraft was parked on the nearby grass.

Two of the more prominent and colourful visitors were a pair of Victorian-based Amateur-built Van's RV-6 aircraft - VH-TXF and VH-MUM.

Also of note at Gladstone Airport this week, FKG Air Hawker Beechcraft G58 VH-FKI called in from Archerfield and earlier Toowoomba on Thursday 24 July.  The fairly new production Baron later departed back to Archerfield and later its Toowoomba base.  And locally-based Air Charter CQ / Australia by Seaplane De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver Mk1 Floatplane VH-IDO has positioned to Mackay for scheduled maintenance.

On Wednesday 23 July, Shadforth's Plant Hire Raytheon (Beech) C90A (C90B King Air) VH-JEO was spotted by Michael resting in the evening sun after earlier arriving from Rockhampton and Mackay.

After a busy week in CQ (where it was also spotted at Rocky - see below) VH-JEO departed for the Sunshine Coast on Thursday 24 July.

Finally, also on Wednesday 23 July, Gladstone spotter Anthony S captured a couple of lovely images of Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-600 VH-FVZ as it arrived from Brisbane as VOZ1707.

Another busy week!
