A Couple of Helicopters and Multiple RFDS King Air Visits at Gladstone Airport on Monday

Gladstone Airport played host to a couple of interesting helicopters - along with an overfly - as well as several visits by Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) King Airs on Monday 7 July.

As mentioned below, Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Bell 429 'Global Ranger' Helicopter - N49-049 - passed overhead Gladstone Airport on its journey South from Townsville.

Meanwhile, spotted calling into Gladstone Airport on Monday was Stock-Air Helicopters Robinson R44 II VH-VVW, along with Microflite (of Melbourne) Eurocopter AS.350B3 Squirrel VH-YJB.

Meanwhile, later on Monday 7 July, I noted at least three visits by Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) King Air aircraft into Gladstone Airport, with Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-FDI "FlyDoc 467", Hawker Beechcraft B200 King Air VH-FDT "FlyDoc 436" and Raytheon B200 King Air VH-FDW "FlyDoc 447", all calling during the afternoon and evening.

Along with the usual commercial movements throughout the day, these additional visitors certainly made for a busy day at Gladstone Airport.
