Royal Australian Navy (RAN) NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-041 Seen Flying Around CQ Waters from HMAS Adelaide as "Midnight"

Interesting to note over the course of this week that Royal Australian Navy (RAN) NH Industries MRH-90 Multi-Role Helicopter A40-041 has been seen and heard flying over waters off the Whitsundays and then Central Queensland coasts.  It has been heard using the radio callsign of "Midnight".

Research reveals this particular radio callsign is of the Navy's 808 Squadron which is based at HMAS Albatross at Nowra in New South Wales.  It appears that the Squadron has MRH-90 helicopters deployed to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Canberra-class landing helicopter dock (LHD) ship HMAS Adelaide (III) (L01) which appears to be currently in waters of the Capricorn Coast.
