Busy Monday Morning at Gladstone Airport

It was a busy morning at Gladstone Airport on Monday 16 June with a couple of beaut aircraft and a nice helicopter to call in to the industrial city.

Firstly, Sundown Pastoral Company (of Bonogin in the Gold Coast Hinterland) Raytheon B300 Super King Air VH-NSI called in from the Gold Coast.

It was parked for the morning and later departed back to the Gold Coast.  It is believed that VH-NSI was recently re-registered from its long-time American marking of N36715.

Shortly after the King Air's arrival, the Our Airline (Air Nauru) Boeing B737-300 VH-INU - which arrived the previous evening as RON914 from Brisbane on the regular 9-day Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) charter run - departed back to Brisbane as RON915.

Later, privately owned Bell 222 helicopter VH-HBA called into Gladstone while heading South.  It had started its journey on the weekend, flying from Cooktown to Cairns and on to Proserpine.  On Monday, VH-HBA departed the Proserpine / Whitsunday Coast and called into Gladstone.  It eventually departed to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.
