Spotters got a surprise early on
Sunday 15 June, when Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III A41-206 performed air-work and conducted a missed approach at both Rockhampton and Mackay Airports.
A41-206 - flying as "Stallion 47" - performed a practice VOR approach followed by a missed approach at Rockhampton, before flying north and performing an NDB-A approach followed by a missed approach at Mackay Airport.
Thanks to local plane spotter 'AC' for capturing these great images at Mackay Airport as this great RAAF transport aircraft made a rare weekend appearance in CQ!
