Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-600 VH-VPI at Bundaberg and Rockhampton Airports

Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) ATR 72-600 VH-VPI has finally entered service for Virgin Australia on Monday 16 June operating as VOZ1701/1702 service into Bundaberg from Brisbane

VH-VPI then turned around and operated the evening VOZ1247/1250 service into Rockhampton.

VH-VPI has finally been placed into Virgin Australia service after sitting at Townsville for some time after its delivery to Australia in September 2013.  In late April, VH-VPI positioned to Brisbane where it has been hangared prior to entering service today.

I suspect that with fellow ATR VH-FVR grounded in New South Wales (see Blog Post below), and VH-FVH flying into Townsville recently for maintenance, VARA need to utilise VH-VPI to make up the short-fall in capacity.
