More Corporate Bizjet and Turboprop Action at Longreach and Winton Airports

On Monday 9 October, the Queensland Government Airwing (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY was noted arriving into Winton Airport from Brisbane.  It later departed Winton and landed at Longreach Airport to refuel before returning to Winton.  It then returned to Brisbane.

Another nice corporate bizjet to visit Winton Airport was Falconair (New South Wales) Dassault Mystere-Falcon 50 bizjet VH-FOL which also arrived from Brisbane.  It departed back to Brisbane during the afternoon on Monday 9 October.

And as reported below, on Saturday 7 October, a pair of Brescon P/L Beech B200 King Airs VH-WXN and VH-WXB were noted arriving into Longreach Airport from the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport.  They both later departed to Winton where they spent the night and returned to Wellcamp on Sunday 8 October.

While Hawker Beechcraft C90GTi King Air VH-JJU also looked to fly into Winton from and then back to its Cloncurry base on Saturday 7 October.

It appears the influx of corporate traffic flying into Winton Airport was for the funeral of Winton trucking identity Alan 'Buddo' Grant.

Meanwhile, on Sunday 8 October, the familiar sight of Gulf Coast Aviation Cessna 510 Citation Mustang bizjet VH-KXM was back in CQ passing through Longreach Airport while flying from Vanrook Station near Normanton 'home' to Bankstown.
