Queensland Government Raytheon Hawker 850XP VH-SGY & Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 VH-WMY Both Call into Mackay and Hamilton Island Airports

Certainly a couple of interesting bizjet movements in and out of Mackay and the Whitsundays over the last couple of days.

On Friday 29 September, Mitchell Water Australia Cessna 525 Citation M2 bizjet VH-WMY was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from Melbourne (Essendon), Horsham, Waikerie and Broken Hill.

After a short time on the ground, VH-WMY then departed Hamo and landed at Mackay Airport, again for a short time, before it returned to Essendon and then Melbourne (Moorabbin).

Meanwhile, during the middle part of the afternoon on Saturday 30 September, the Queensland Government (State of Queensland) Raytheon Hawker 850XP bizjet VH-SGY was noted arriving into Hamilton Island Airport from Brisbane.  It later ferried South to Mackay Airport where it spent the night.

Then early on Sunday 1 October, VH-SGY departed Mackay Airport and completed the short hop back to Hamo.  After about 30 minutes on the ground, VH-SGY departed Hamilton Island Airport and returned to Brisbane.

Finally, it's worth noting that also on Sunday 1 October, the visiting ADD Aviation Services (Australian Corporate Jet Centres) Raytheon Hawker 800XP bizjet VH-OFJ was also noted departing Hamilton Island Airport after arriving late last week from its Melbourne (Essendon) base.  VH-OFJ was noted departing to the Ballina/Byron Gateway Airport in northern New South Wales.
