Crashed and Repaired Indonesian Cessna 208 Caravan PK-RSC Passes Through Roma Airport

Certainly an interesting visitor to pass through Roma Airport on Saturday 28 November was Enggang Air Services (Indonesia) Cessna 208B Grand Caravan PK-RSC which touched down from Bankstown Airport.

As shown above, the Caravan was involved a 'runway excursion' incident at Mulia Airport in Indonesia in September 2014.  Information from local news sources suggested that the aircraft suffered a runway excursion on landing, causing a broken nose gear and damaged propeller.  PK-RSC was then noted on the back of a truck arriving into Bankstown earlier in 2015 where it was believed that the relatively-new aircraft was repaired and returned to an airworthy state.

PK-RSC departed Roma for Townsville, and at the time of writing on Sunday 29 November, it was heading further North to Horn Island and then Sentani in Jayapura, Indonesia.
