United States Navy (USN) Lockheed KC-130T Hercules 164106 (RU-106) (VR-55) Returns to Rockhampton Airport

After arriving the previous evening, the United States Navy (USN) Lockheed KC-130T Hercules (L-382) 164106 was noted departing Rockhampton Airport for RAAF Base Richmond in New South Wales early on Friday 30 June.  It was again heard to use the radio callsign of "Convoy 7966".

Then, as the sun was setting later on Friday 30 June, the Herc - serial 164106 - coded RU-106 - of the VR-55 Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 55 - was pictured soon after it returned to Rockhampton Airport from Richmond yet again as "Convoy 7966".  It was noted parking on the Northern military hardstand at Rocky and looked to be again spending the night.

On Saturday 1 July, 164106 made a mid-morning departure from Rockhampton Airport believed to heading for Andersen Air Force Base (AFB) in Guam.
