Local Bizjets and Corporate Turboprops Come and Go at CQ Airports This Week

Over the last couple of days, Australian-based corporate bizjets and turboprop aircraft have again called into various Central Queensland Airports.

Again, most action has been at Hamilton Island Airport where, on Wednesday 19 July, Cessna 510 Citation Mustang VH-VSQ touched down from Port Macquarie.

It appears to be staying for at least the night and is joined on the ground by Shortstop Jet Charter Dassault Falcon 900C VH-OAA and Aeromil Pacific / Flight Options (Australia) Cessna 650 Citation III VH-SPJ which both remain parked after arriving earlier in the week.

While Mitchell Water Cessna 525 Citation M2 VH-WMY departed Hamilton Island Airport for Dalby and the Gold Coast on Tuesday 18 July.  It had arrived into Hamo from Dalby the previous day.

Down at Mackay, locally based Embraer EMB-550 Legacy 500 N142GZ arrived back into Mackay Airport on Wednesday 19 July from Sydney after flying down there earlier in the week.

Meanwhile, over the last couple of days. both LifeFlight (Aeromed) LearJet 45 aircraft have been noted calling into different parts of CQ on med-evac flights.  Late on Wednesday 19 July, VH-VVI "Ambulance 451" visited Rockhampton Airport from Brisbane, while on Thursday 20 July, VH-CXJ "Ambulance 452" arrived into Mackay Airport from Townsville before departing to Brisbane.

Finally, some smaller corporate turboprop aircraft have also been noted calling into CQ over the last couple of days.

On Wednesday 19 July, AV8 Air Charter (Pays Helicopters) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-MHV arrived into Rockhampton Airport from its Scone base (New South Wales) via Toowoomba.  It is pictured below on Thursday 20 July departing Rocky for Gladstone before it then continued to Scone.

While on Thursday 20 July, Brisbane-based Bishopp Aviation SOCATA TBM-700 VH-VSV popped into Rockhampton Airport from Archerfield and Pilatus PC-12/45 VH-PID flew into Rockhampton Airport from its Toowoomba base.  It later departed to Maryborough before returning to Toowoomba.
