Toll Freight Metro 23 VH-HPE Hits a Kangaroo at Biloela / Thangool Airport Tuesday Morning

An interesting report that early on Tuesday 1 September, Toll Freight Metro 23 VH-HPE reportedly sustained damage when it collided with a large kangaroo at Biloela / Thangool Airport.

The Metro had just arrived as TFX110 on the early morning weekday freight flight from Brisbane to Emerald via Biloela / Thangool.  VH-HPE reportedly sustained enough damage to ground the aircraft at Bilo.

Consequently, Toll Freight Metro III VH-UZG was ferried to Emerald late on Tuesday 1 September as TFX720 before it operated the outbound TFX111 freight run from Emerald to Brisbane via Rockhampton.

You certainly have to watch out for wildlife in Central Queensland!
