With the Singapore Armed Force's Exercise Wallaby 2015 due to start later this week, a flight of four Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Aerospatiale / Eurocopter AS332M Super Puma helicopters made a spectacular arrival into Rockhampton Airport from their home at Oakey on Wednesday 23 September.
Local plane spotter Kayanne H was at Rocky Airport to capture their arrival. She was also able identify and confirm that the four Super Pumas to touch down wore the serial numbers 220, 272, 292 and 293.
The four Super Pumas are the first of the RSAF helicopters to arrive for Exercise Wallaby 2015 with RSAF Boeing CH-47SD Chinook and the Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters expected to also arrive at Rockhampton in the coming days on board two charters operated by an Antonov AN-124 freighter.
It is also expected that first heavy jet troop charter from Singapore will touch down at Rockhampton Airport this weekend. Arrivals are expected during the late afternoon and evening - as per usual.
Sincere thanks to Kayanne H for taking the time to capture and send through these fantastic photos!
