CORRECTION! Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue Agusta AW139 Helicopter VH-EZJ at Mackay and Gladstone Airports

I've been advised - and saw for myself on flight-tracking website http://flightaware.com/ - that VH-EZJ actually flew from Cairns to Archerfield via Townsville, Mackay and Gladstone - not Bundaberg as originally reported.  This, I'm told, was in part caused by wind and fuel issues.  We have corrected the post below!

The 'shuffle' of Queensland Government (QGAir) Rescue helicopters over the last week or so continued on Friday 11 September as Agusta AW139 helicopter VH-EZJ flew South from Cairns to Archerfield via Townsville, Mackay and Gladstone Airports.

We reported earlier this week the QGAir rescue helicopters are being ferried North and South through Queensland as a part of a 'rotational system' designed to ensure the even distribution of flying hours on each of their helicopters, thus avoiding the need to have multiple helicopters offline for simultaneous scheduled maintenance.  QGAir Rescue helicopters Bell 412EP VH-ESB and Agusta AW139 VH-ESZ have ferried South and North respectively over the last week - see Blog posts below.
