A Pair of RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III Transport Aircraft - A41-210 & A41-212 - Both Pop into Williamson Airfield in the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA)

It was interesting to note that on Saturday 6 July, a pair of Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Boeing C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft looked to pop into Williamson Airfield which is within the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA).

It appears that A41-210 as "Ausy 605" flew into Williamson from RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia before later departing to RAAF Base Amberley.

While A41-212 as "Stallion 15" flew into Williamson from Amberley and Darwin before also later departing to Amberley.

Of interest, another RAAF C-17A Globemaster III A41-211 as "Ausy 610" was noted flying into Townsville also on Saturday 6 July, also from Darwin.  It too then departed to Amberley.

There are currently eight C-17A Globemaster III transport aircraft that are flown by the RAAF's No. 36 Strategic Transport Squadron based out of Amberley.
