Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules Transport Aircraft A97-468 "Trojan 12" Pops into Rockhampton Airport

Early on Thursday 11 July, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules transport aircraft A97-468 was photographed on finals for Rockhampton Airport as "Trojan 12".  It looked to fly up from RAAF Base Amberley.

After a short time on the ground, A97-468 then departed to Williamson Airfield, within the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) before later returning to Amberley.

Meanwhile, also on Thursday 11 July, fellow RAAF Lockheed C-130J-30 Hercules transport aircraft A97-467 was heard to be flying around the Shoalwater Bay Training Area (SWBTA) again as "Trojan 02".

It had visited Rockhampton Airport at the start of the week - see Blog post below.

Sincere thanks to local plane spotter Kayanne H who was at the right place at the right to capture these great photos of the Herc!
