A Pair of United States Navy (USN) Sikorsky MH-60S Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 12 (HSC-12) 'Golden Falcons' Arrive into Rockhampton Airport

On Thursday 4 July, a pair of United States Navy (USN) Sikorsky MH-60S Seahawk (Knighthawk) helicopters were photographed at Rockhampton Airport.  They looked to arrive into Rocky from a position off the coast.

The two helicopters were identified as 167833 / NF-611 and 167871 / NF-621 and are flown by the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 12 (HSC-12) "Golden Falcons" which are presently deployed and assigned with CVW-5 on board USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) which is reportedly sailing off the Queensland coast heading to Brisbane.

Soon after their arrival, they looked to be being prepared to stay for at least the night.

The two Knighthawks were heard to use the radio callsigns of "Hunter 71" and "Hunter 72".

Sincere thanks to local plane spotters Daniel B, Trevor H and Kayanne H for taking the time to capture and send through these great photos!
