ExecuJet Asia Gulfstream Aerospace G-VI Gulfstream G650 Bizjet VP-CJR Arrives into Hamilton Island Airport

A nice bizjet to touch down at Hamilton Island Airport on Monday 8 July was ExecuJet Asia Gulfstream Aerospace G-VI Gulfstream G650 VP-CJR.

It looked to fly up from Brisbane, having earlier flown across the ditch from Auckland in New Zealand.  The sleek Gulfstream seems to spend some considerable time at Auckland and so could be locally-based.

At the time of writing, VP-CJR appears to be staying on Hamo for at least the night.

UPDATE!  On Friday 12 July, VP-CJR departed Hamilton Island Airport for Canberra.

Meanwhile, also on Monday 8 July, a couple of recent flight cancellations and diversions brought a pair of 'additional' Virgin Australia flights into Hamilton Island Airport.  Boeing B737-800 VH-YFX was noted operating as VOZ9535/9536 from and back to Brisbane, while Boeing B737-800 VH-YFV was noted operating as VOZ9533/9534 from and back to Sydney.  It also apepars that Boeing B737-800 VH-YIF operated as VOZ9531/9530 from and back to Brisbane on Saturday 6 July.

Finally, a corporate turboprop that has been visiting the Whitsundays over the last week was SFC Farming (of Goondiwindi) Raytheon B200 King Air VH-TXT which was noted departing the Whitsunday Airport at Shute Harbour also on Monday 8 July.  It departed for its Mundine Airport base in New South Wales.

VH-TXT looks to have arrived into Shute Harbour last Monday 1 July.
